LiquidAssets.tv, producers of "Into the Drink," is proud to support the Diveheart Foundation. Diveheart was founded in 2001 to provide and support educational scuba diving and snorkeling experience programs that are open to any child, adult, or veteran with a disability with the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person. It is the "can do" spirit that Diveheart hopes to instill in all its participants by giving them the confidence and independence that allows them to face their own life challenges and overcome barriers that before might have seemed insurmountable. LiquidAssets.tv films another episode of "Into the Drink" in America's exotic Pacific paradise, Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Big Island's volcanic underwater topography is a diver's wonderland. Lava tubes, bommies, arches and huge craters like “Au Au Crater,” create a spectacular backdrop for Hawaii’s many indigenous species of buttlerfly fish. Photographers will delight in the many patient subjects like Spanish Dancers, turtles, mantas and frogfish. The live-aboard's scuba itinerary is Saturday-to-Saturday with five and one-half days of diving. Guests may board Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is served on board Saturday evening followed by the Captain’s briefing. Friday afternoon, we return to Kailua-Kona Bay. Guests may spend the afternoon shopping, sight seeing or just relaxing on board until the evening cocktail party hosted by the crew. After the party, everyone will dine at a local restaurant. This is the only meal not included in the charter. Saturday morning check-out is 8:00 a.m.

Arrival at Kona's Keahole Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii. You will be greeted by a friendly crewmember in uniform and taken to a shopping area near the pier. Luggage will be stored at the nearby live-aboard office. If you arrive in Kailua-Kona prior to Saturday, please make your own way to the yacht. The live-aboard will dock at the Kailua Pier Saturday afternoon at 5:30 pm to greet passengers. Dinner is served onboard followed by the captain's briefing. Evening at your leisure onboard. *

Eat, sleep, and dive aboard the live-aboard yacht. We will return to Kailua-Kona at approximately 1:00 pm to provision and fuel for the following week. This is your opportunity to stroll around town, shop and sightsee. The live-aboard will host a cocktail party Friday at 5:00 pm. Dinner is not served onboard this evening. This is the only meal not provided with the cruise. The crew can recommend a restaurant and/or luau, and can arrange transportation.

If you aren't extending your stay in Hawaii, we recommend an early morning departure. Checkout time is 8:00 am on Saturday. Due to the uncertainty of docking permission being granted by the port, please schedule departing flights after 9:30 am on Saturday. The crew will transport you to the Keahole Airport or a local hotel if you are planning to extend your vacation in Kona.

Price of this unique dive vacation: $2,635 per person, based on double occupancy, $2,435 per person, based on quad occupancy.

Travel/Packing Advice
We highly recommend that you pack a swimsuit, change of clothes, toiletries and any medication you may need in your carry-on bag. Having these items with you can make an unexpected luggage delay more bearable. Also, if you are bringing camera equipment, we suggest you hand-carry it onto the plane. Water temps may reach 80º F in August, so some sort of thermal protection may be desired. A 3mm wetsuit should suffice for most divers.
